Wells Fargo has named Marla Vasquez Community Bank regional president for the San Fernando Valley.  In this role, she will oversee 38 banking stores and 950 team members from headquarter offices at 15760 Ventura Blvd. in Encino.  Vasquez succeeds Vince Liuzzi, who was promoted to Wells Fargo regional president of the Greater Philadelphia and Delaware market.

“Marla is an exceptional leader who has great experience and relationships in the San Fernando Valley, where she served for many years prior to joining our Pacific Coast team,” said Los Angeles Metro Regional President John Sotoodeh.  “She is well respected by team members, customers and the community and I am confident she will continue to build upon our success in this very important region.”

A 15-year veteran of the company, Vasquez previously was regional president for the Pacific Coast market, serving customers in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties for the past two years.  Prior to that, she was community banking president for the North Valley region and later the Glendale/Burbank market in the San Fernando Valley region.

The Pacific Coast Business Times recently named Vasquez among the region’s “Top Women in Business” for the third year in a row.  She also was named one of the “Top 40 Under 40″ for her business and community leadership by the Pacific Coast Business Times in 2007, and earned the same distinction by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal in 2004.  She serves on the boards of two non-profit organizations – Women’s Economic Ventures of Santa Barbara County and Casa Pacifica.  She also sits on California State University Channel Island’s Dean’s Leadership Council.
