With this hot weather, what better than a celebratory lemonade?

PATRON LEMONADE

lemons3008 oz. Patron (or sub any of your favorite Tequila)

6 fresh lemons

6 tablespoons sugar

lots of ice

20 oz. soda water

Slice 2 lemons into wedges and grind them with the sugar in a heavy pitcher or pistol and mortar.  Squeeze the juice from the rest of the lemons over the mixture.  Let this sit a couple of minutes while the sugar dissolves.  Add the tequila and soda water and mix well.  Pour the drink over the ice in 4 large chilled glasses.
