Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch? Well, okay, in this case, a mid-afternoon snack. On Tuesday, November 17, starting at 2 pm, Jamba Juice will be offering its new California Flatbreads at their flattest price ever—FREE to the first 150 customers at each location. The Flatbreads are available in four flavors including: Tomo ArtichokoTM Flatbread, Smokehouse Chicken Flatbread, MediterranYumTM Flatbread and Four CheesyTM Flatbread. All are under 330 calories.

Lucy’s 51 in Toluca Lake invites you to a special FREE event in its Red Lounge 51 on November 18. Please bring a NEW unwrapped toy for a child (age 6-17) for a toy drive benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank. It’s adult lounge night with live music, complementary cocktails (6:30-7:30 pm), including the Freakin’ Rican —a minty mojito style martini. Feast on tasty bites created by new chef Abel Duran, who has created ambrosial small plate selections including savory sea scallop canapes, lobster carpaccio, eggplant rillettes, and tuna tartar. Dress up in your favorite leopard or red hued cocktail attire to pay homage to Lucy’s color palate. Prizes for best outfit will be given out. 10149 Riverside Drive, Toluca Lake.  RSVP to info@fempr.com

A shorter trip to Thousand Oaks for the West Valley.

Finally. A shorter deli trip to Thousand Oaks than Beverly Hills for the West Valley-ites.

Good news for the West Valley. A Beverly Hills legend is coming to Thousand Oaks! Nate ‘n Al Delicatessen will open at The Lakes in Thousand Oaks on Tuesday, November 17 from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. When the doors open on Tuesday, customers will be greeted by owner David Mendelson and treated to samples of the deli’s famous signature dishes. Also, any customer who comes to Nate ‘n Al dressed as a turkey on Thanksgiving Day, or the following Friday, Saturday or Sunday will get a free turkey sandwich, only at the new Thousand Oaks location, in honor of the grand opening.

Henry's Market

Henry’s Farmers Markets just launched their annual Grab ‘n’ Give holiday food drive, which runs until January 4, 2010. Shoppers will find pre-packaged Grab ‘n’ Give grocery bags priced at a 10% discount at a special stand near the checkout stands. The Grab ‘n’ Give bags will include food items such as canned tuna, canned soup, vegetables and beans, rice, canned fruit, cereal and other non-perishable snacks. After paying for them, along with their own groceries, customers can simply drop off those bags at the donation bins located near the exits.

In addition, Henry’s shoppers can choose to donate towards the purchase of full turkeys to be presented to families in need for holiday meals. Upon checkout, customers can choose to donate $5, $10, or $20 which goes towards purchasing turkeys at a 10% discount to be given to people in need. This year Henry’s Farmers Markets hopes to top their 2008 donation amount of 7,000 pounds of food donations.

There are 32 Henry’s locations with 818 locations in Burbank  (just opened last month) and Woodland Hills. 1011 North San Fernando Blvd, Burbank, California, 91507 818-566-4089; 21821 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills, California, 91364 Phone: 818-887-6473
