CALLING ALL ANIMAL LOVERS! Please consider fostering an animal in need. With the holidays approaching more animals are getting abandoned at the shelter and worse yet, dumped on the streets. When fostering for a rescue group or a shelter you don’t have to worry about medical expenses, supplies or finding the new pet a forever home. You just provide love, walks and in some cases trips to adoption events. They do the rest! The result… saving a life! What better way to give back this holiday season. Please contact for more information.

Some four-legged finds in need …

East Valley Animal Care Center 14409 Vanowen st Van Nuys, CA 91405 818-756-9323

Impound # 1076556 Cattle Dog Mix, 2 years, 46 lbs I’m Joan, a beautiful blue-eyed babe. I came to the shelter as a stray and am waiting for someone to save me. I’m super friendly and get along great with other dogs! The volunteers say I’m a quick learner, terrific on a leash and even know basic commands! I’m the perfect package waiting for you. Please take me home. I want someone to love!

Patsy's puppy

Impound # 1076077 Cocker Spaniel Mix, 2 years old, 13 lbs I’m Patsy and was found behind a store with my 4 week old baby trying to survive. I’m a great mother and hate that we have to be at the shelter. I’m very sweet, love being a mom and the shelter says I’m incredibly beautiful. Please come get us out of here. We will be so grateful and will love you forever!

Impound # 1075773 Domestic Short Hair, 1 year, 9 lbs I’m Boyo and was dumped at the shelter with my best friend in the world, a cocker spaniel. The landlord said our guardian had to give us up. Now I’m all alone at the shelter because my friend got adopted without me, even though the shelter tried to get us adopted together. I’m very affectionate, love other dogs and cats and very handsome. I’ve been abandoned twice and am losing hope of finding a forever friend. Please adopt me.

Impound # 1071165 Rabbit, 6 months, 3 lbs I’m Dorothy and was abandoned at the shelter in a box with 5 other siblings! I was very frail and scared. Now I’m prettier than ever and very friendly. I will sit in your lap and be your best buddy. Pick me me me.

Impound # 0589839 German Shepherd/Collie Mix, 6 years, 68 lbs I’m Rex a STUNNING, happy-go-lucky guy who was found on the street. The shelter called my guardians but they never came to get me. The staff just adores me and says I’m very well behaved. I shake, sit on command and love dogs and people. I’m so sweet and need a forever home. I’m a real charmer too. Please come adopt me.

Impound # 1062352 Short Hair Rabbit, 2 months, 4 lbs I’m handsome Gary. I was born at the shelter and am in need of a home to call my own. I’m very sweet, love to be held and love people!! I love to pose for the camera too and have fun when my picture’s taken. The volunteers say I’m one-of-a-kind. Please make me your forever friend.

Impound # 1067798, Orange/White Domestic Short Hair Cat, 9 years young, 16 lbs; Impound # 1067793, Siamese Mix Domestic Short Hair Cat, 9 years young 19 lbs I’m Spice, the handsome orange and white kitty, and this is Sugar, the handsome blue-eyed fellow. We came to the shelter together as strays. Our guardians were notified but they didn’t want us anymore. They kicked us to the curb. We both love people, despite our previous home, and love to be loved. We are total lap cats and love attention. We will give you so much love if you come adopt us. We are shelter staff favorites. Please consider adopting us together. We will be forever grateful.

Impound # 1033122, Basset Hound, 1 year, 43 lbs I’m Buddy and am very handsome, but also very sad at the shelter. I was abandoned because my guardian said I barked too much. I just wanted some attention! I am very happy when I’m out on walks, lots of fun when I’m out of my cage, and love to play with other dogs. I’m great with kids too and would make a great companion. I want to be your best friend. Please pick me!
