Start the new year off with a resolution to help shelter animals in need. Food and blankets are always needed or be a volunteer at a local animal shelter. Try fostering a dog, cat or rabbit. There are numerous ways to help the animals but not enough people offering help. Make this year a time to give back.

Impound #1083410 Papillon mix, 14 weeks, 6 lbs. I’m Francis and was dumped at the shelter by my guardians because I was sick and they didn’t want to care for me. I’m all better now and the staff says I’m the prettiest girl in the neighborhood. I love people and dogs and will make a great companion. I’m too small to be in the kennels so please ask for me at the shelter. I’m ready for a home!!

Impound #1079850 German Shepherd, 1 year, 65 lbs. I’m Rex and was found on the street. I must have been there for awhile because I’m a little skinny. The shelter took me in and called my guardians but they never came to get me. I’m super sweet, know basic commands, walk great on a leash and am very eager to please. Oh, and I love people and other dogs too. I’ll make an outstanding forever friend. Please adopt me! I’m a shelter staff favorite.

Impound #1082731 Tabby Cat, 4 years, 8 lbs. I’m Lars and came to the shelter as a stray. I’m very friendly, playful and love other cats. I like to play hide-and-seek with my shelter-mate…we take turns hiding under our blanket. We love each other. I’m very handsome too and would make an amazing companion. Won’t you adopt me?

Chocolate, Impound #1080170 Dwarf Hotot Rabbit, 1 year, 2 lbs My name is Chocolate and I got dumped at the shelter with my brothers! Our guardians said they had too many rabbits. DUH, that’s why you spay and neuter!!!! Now we have to pay the price. We are all soooo sweet and like to sit in your lap and be loved. We are very social and want to find a forever home. Please come adopt me and my brothers. We are waiting for a real home to call our own.

More great treasures…

Impound #1081779 Cairn Terrier 2 years, 11 lbs. The shelter named me Mister when I came in as a stray. I had it rough on the streets and my eye got damaged. It may need to be removed. I don’t let that get me down. I am very loving to all the dogs and people I meet. I’m very active, affectionate and love to be held. Won’t you come get me? I’m ready for some love!

Impound #1068111 Calico Short Hair Cat 8 years, 7 lbs. I’m Missy and was dumped at the shelter because my guardian died. Her grandson dumped me! I am SOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL and am great with cats and people. I need to get adopted soon though…I’ve been at the shelter much too long. My past guardian loved me but didn’t take care of me and I have no teeth. I need someone who will treat me right. Please consider adopting me. I want to be loved.

Impound #1079686 Siberian Husky Mix, 7 years, 60 lbs. I’m Jackie a beautiful girl that has been waiting for my guardians, but they never came to get me. The shelter staff says I’m very special. I love other dogs and people and am super on a leash. I want to find a best friend. Won’t you be mine? I’d make the best four-legged find!

Impound #1080435 Rabbit, 4 months, 3 lbs. I’m Stumper and was surrendered by my guardian because he had no time to take care of me. Now I’m at the shelter all alone waiting to be saved. I’m very handsome, love to get attention, like to pose for pictures and love to be held. Please adopt me. I promise to love you for life.

Impound #1083434 Akita, 9 years young, 89 lbs. I’m Hawk, a very handsome fella that was found wandering the streets. The shelter took me in and as you can see I’m very depressed here. The staff says I’m a favorite, very sweet and good with dogs. I LOVE LOVE LOVE people and am hoping someone will make me their forever friend. I am well behaved and ready to find love.
