Laurence School Student Jury Finds Frank N. Stein Innocent of Murder In Kids Court Trial

Valley Glen, CA — Dr. Frank N. Stein was found innocent of the premeditated murder of his wife and brother by student jurors at The Laurence School’s Kid’s Court at The Laurence School in Valley Glen. The verdict was handed down at in the independent elementary school’s 19th annual Kids Court Trial last week.

Each spring Laurence sixth graders cap a semester’s study of the judicial system by putting a classic literary figure on trial for their peers.

Although the trial was scripted, it was up to the jury of fourth and fifth graders to decide Dr. Stein’s fate and responsibility in the creating the monster with the intent of having him commit the murders.

Laurence was among the first schools in the country to implement a mock trial program at the elementary school level.
