Paper Source, the nationwide chain of creative “paperie” and retail shops, has opened its doors in Studio City and will be introducing themselves to the neighborhood this weekend with a Grand Opening celebration.

If you’ve never been inside a Paper Source store, you’ll find a wonderful assortment of artisanal papers from around the world, invitations for all occasions, gift wrap, greeting cards, and quirky gifts. There’s also a rainbow of coordinating custom colored papers, ribbons and envelopes. The store’s distinctive style is inspired by a color palette and proprietary designs that were created just for them.

The philosophy behind Paper Source is that there’s a crafty person inside everyone and their mission is to encourage customers to “Do Something Creative Every Day.”

“The possibilities are endless here,” said Store Manager Cheryl Aquino.

They have all the tools and instruction you’ll need to really make something extra special, from beautiful paper flower wreaths to personalized favor boxes. Free in-store demos are available throughout the day and monthly workshops are offered for specialized projects (see website for upcoming classes). To help kick start your imaginative endeavors, there is a large selection of rubber stamps, inks, embossing powders, and embellishments, as well as many easy to follow kits.

In addition to art inspired calendars, unique housewares, and coffee table books, Paper Source offers custom printing using stationary from Crane, William Arthur and their own stationary line.
