THE NORTH POLE EXPRESS: Take a little road trip to the Fillmore and Western Railway and board a vintage train with storytelling, caroling, cookies & chocolate milk and elves  through December 27.  You can even wear your pajamas! EQUESTFEST: Burbank is the place for Equestfest on Wednesday, December 29 from 11am to 3 pm at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center  Meet many of the Equestrians you will see New Year’s Day in the 2011 Rose Parade at this  equestrian event. Horses and riders perform drills and dances, and demonstrate trick riding and roping.  Think “wild west” in the 21st century. Stroll through the stables and talk to the riders. Learn about the various tack and the many different breeds. Take advantage of wonderful one-of-a-kind photo opportunities. FLOAT DECORATION VIEWING: Experience the magic of the floats before they make their debut in the 2011 Rose Parade on December 28-31 in Pasadena. BANDFEST: This once a year musical extravaganza features the prizewinning bands of the 2011 Rose Parade performing the field shows that made them famous. Three shows on December 29 and 30 will give everyone a chance to see these talented musicians, dancers and auxiliary performers in action. POST PARADE SHOWCASE OF FLOATS: Check out the floral masterpieces past parade on January 1 and 2Parked along Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards in Pasadena, the floats are exhibited for visitors to walk by and see in close detail the design and workmanship that goes into these floats. A revised documentary on the will be shown throughout the day in the 1600 seat auditorium adjacent to the Showcase Lot.
