On January 17, 2011 we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the holiday recognizing one of America’s greatest heroes-Dr. Martin Luther King. The Corporation for National and Community Service is calling upon all Americans to honor Dr. King’s memory by serving on MLK Day. There are many ways to be of service both locally and globally and you can go to the web-site for more ideas of where to be of service. I can’t think of a better way to honor a man whose life was dedicated to being of service than by doing something for someone less fortunate than you! To complete the celebration,  mix up a batch of I Have A Dream cocktails! Cheers!

I Have A Dream Cocktail

2 ounces Pomegranate Liqueur

2 ounces black cherry rum

3 ounces pomegranate cherry juice

1-ounce sweet and sour

White fondant stars for garnish

blueberries for garnish

Cut mini stars out of white fondant. Wet the back of each star and press into the inside of two martini glasses so it sticks, then let sit for about 5 minutes. Fill a mixing glass with all ingredients add ice, shake and strain into glasses. Garnish with blueberries!
