Starbucks Free Treat: Starbucks is celebrating forty years by offering a complimentary Starbucks Petites when you order any handcrafted beverage (while supplies last). Petites are little sweet treats under 200 calories.  Today and Saturday from  2 p.m. to  5 p.m.

Food Trucks at The Federal Bar: Ten food trucks will be lining up in the Federal Bar parking lot on Saturday, March 12 from noon to 4 p.m.  Rolling in will be: Canter’s, Vizzi, Frysmith, Tapa Boy, Ahn Joo, Mandoline Grill, Lake Street Creamery, Lomo Arigato and the Tropical Shave Truck. Dublab DJs will be spinning tunes and bands will be playing inside The Federal Bar. 5303 Lankershim, North Hollywood.

Ketel One Night at The Valley Inn: Saturday, March 12 is a special evening at this recently refurbished Sherman Oaks landmark, featuring Ketel One Oranje Vodka. FREE samples and giveaways of this new release will be distributed by Ketel One Girls from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the bar or dining room to all Valley Inn diners. Specially featured dishes will be: Penne Pasta with Ketel One Vodka Sauce and Shrimp ($18.95) and Ketel One Citrus Chicken ($16.95). Special Ketel One cocktails only  $5! Regular dinner menu will also be available. Stroll around and check out Coach John Wooden memorabilia (it was his favorite dinner house) or hang out and make friends at the 100 year old imported bar. Mid-Century Madness at the Lotta Lounge. Join award-winning The Martini Kings on Saturday , March 12 at the classic Lotta Lounge. This is for fans of swanky lounge music (a la Rat Pack era), cocktails, dancing, modernism, exotica and tiki, burlesque, vintage fashion, accessories collectibles and art, lowbrow comedy and magic – it’s a night of mid-century madness at one of the valley’s oldest clubs (and British!). Woman and Art reception: NoHo Gallery LA honors the achievements of all women across the globe by celebrating locally with art. The new exhibit, WOMAN, will have the opening reception  March 12  7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The featured artist is Ora Tamir. Group artists include Sandra Cooper, Renate Dartois, Spike Dolomite, Alexandra Kube, Lola Scarpitta, Rachel Weissberger and more. Linda Shayne Levine takes a hilarious, moving and honest look at the balancing act of life all told through song.

Levine holds a special place in pop history as the first white member of the singing group The Supremes. Her recent autobiographical musical which she created and co-wrote “IT’S MY STORY AND I’M STICKING TO IT!” resulted in rave reviews from its limited run at the Two Roads Theatre. As the singing voice of the Queen in Dreamworks hit animated film THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, Linda worked with Academy Award winners Stephen Schwartz and Hans Zimmer. Audiences may also have seen her in such film and television projects such as THE GUARDIAN, THE NANNY, GENERAL HOSPITAL, CROCODILE DUNDEE and that never to be missed classic LEPRECHAUN.
