Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse’s 5 for $6 ‘Til 7 bar menu is now even bigger. There’s still a choice of five cocktails, five beers, five wines and five apps. Now there are under 100 calorie cocktails, including a new 99-calorie Tickled Pink cocktail (a sparkling libation with vodka, orange juice, raspberries and a splash of prosecco) plus Guiness draught(two for $6) and a roasted mushroom ravioli in porcini butter sauce. Saddle Peak Lodge’s chef de cuisine, Christopher Kufek, 26, has taken over from Adam Horton, 28, as head chef in the kitchen at this classic restaurant. Horton has now officially started his reign at Raphael in Studio City.

The Cheesecake Factory just introduced five new cocktails — all with 150 calories or less — that are made using a proprietary blend of sugar substitute and natural sweeteners. These new “Skinny-Style Cocktails” are fresh, handcrafted and muddled-to-order, including the Cosmopolitan, Margarita, Mojito, Red Sangria and Long Island Ice Tea. Each cocktail taste as good as their originals and uses the same amount of high-quality spirits, but only have about half the calories. The Cheesecake Factory offers an extensive Happy Hour menu available Monday through Friday from 4-6pm in the bar area. The menu features a large selection of full-sized appetizers available for $5 each. Specialty Cocktails, including the “Skinny” versions of the Cosmopolitan, Margarita, Mojito and Long Island Ice Tea, are available for only $5. Other well drinks, wines and beers are specially priced as well.
Panera Bread is baking up its traditional Easter Hot Cross Buns with a modern twist from chef Tom Gumpel, Panera’s head baker and former associate dean at the Culinary Institute of America. Chef Gumpel’s Strawberry Hot Cross Buns are made with soft egg bread, orange zest, dried strawberries, topped with a sweet icing. This Lenten tradition will be available for $1.10 Fridays through Sundays through April 10; and everyday from April 15 to 24. Also new for Spring is Steak and White Cheddar Panini, a Steak amd Egg Breakfast Sandwich, and a Steak and Blue Cheese Chopped Salad. Top that with a Low-Fat Mango Smoothie.
