NoHo Rockin’ Food Truck Fest & Flea Market: Enjoy some of the best gourmet food trucks in L.A. on Saturday, March 26 at 11 a.m. in Noho.  Hear some great music and comedy, shop for some cool gifts and have a chance to win some raffle prizes. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Muttmatchla.com, a dog rescue group that will bring some animals needing homes to the event.  Admission $4; vendor food and shopping is extra.  next to the Twin Palms Apartments, 11458 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood.

Rising Lotus yoga studio in Sherman Oaks is launching a nonprofit organization, Rising Yoga Seva Project, to provide pro-bono yoga classes to people in need. The project kicks off with a fundraiser on Saturday, March 26 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Begin with a flow class taught by Rising Lotus co-owners Claire Hartley and Daniel Stewart, as well as other instructors. This is followed by a kirtan—a group activity that celebrates life through musical meditation and chanting (no music background is needed). There will also be food and drinks, plus a silent auction. Stay for the entire evening for $30 per person or attend the yoga class at 5 p.m. or the kirtan at 7:30 p.m. separately for $20 each. Part of the proceeds will benefit The House of Ruth and Cast LA.

Tree People Planting: Help Tree People “Bring the Spring” to L.A.’s parks on Saturday, March 26 from 9 a.m. Join Eagle Scout candidate Benjamin Lee and Tree People’s Danny Carmichael and add to the canopy at a charming Studio City spot. They will be planting 14 trees in a continuing effort to create a community forest. The exact location will be given upon RSVP.

Red Cat International Children’s Film Festival: This Saturday through April 17, your kids can take a celluloid ride around the globe, with enchanting programs for tiny tots, chills and thrills for adventurous older viewers, and films sure to inspire the whole family. Toot Your Own Horn at the Skirball:   This Sunday, March 27 from 1 p.m. to  3 p.m., make your own instruments, conduct and compose music, and learn the history of instruments we hear every day with music educator Craig Woodson. The program will conclude with group drumming and a chance for everyone to dance to their own beat!  $15 general; $10 children age 2–12; $10 for adult Skirball members, $8 for child Skirball members. WORTH THE DRIVE: Westweek and the West Hollywood Design Center: Celebrate design at the Art & Design Walk on Saturday, March 26 from 3-7 p.m., when all events are open to the public. Attendees will be presented with lots to see, learn, eat and shop as they enjoy exclusive receptions, personal appearances, food and entertainment, shopping discounts, and more, including sidewalk music and entertainment, food trucks and opportunities to test drive the latest Jaguar vehicles. Parking will be available at the brand new West Hollywood Library Park garage. Pacific Design Center is also open to all design enthusiasts from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
