My big fave, Georgio’s Cucina in Studio City, has a brand new website featuring their new chef, Jeffrey Nimer. Check it for daily specials. Not to be missed is the special Sunday Supper—a three course meal is $15. Wine is $6 a glass and $14 a bottle. The restaurant is also prepping to open for lunch and Sunday Brunch in a couple weeks. There’s a whole lot going on at the Daily Grill these days. They’re getting into the big burger biz by adding a grinder in each location’s kitchens to freshly grind the meat twice daily. Currently there are three specialty 1/2 pound hand formed angus burgers offered: the Classic Cheeseburger, Wild Mushroom Burger and Pepper Bacon Burger for $10.95-$12.95, including fries. There is also a new meat loaf recipe and a full gluten-free menu.

Specialties, the San Francisco based cafe and bakery chain that promises “made from scratch” food and techno savvy ordering, is opening in Glendale this week. There’s online ordering, a special iPad ordering system and a Warm Cookie Radar to update you when fresh cookies are out of the oven.
Umami Burger just debuted its latest beef creation available at all locations through April. It’s called “The Ruskie” and is comprised of a beef patty with melted cabbage, red beet cheese and mustard caviar.
Morton’s The Steakhouse Burbank is hosting “Puff on the Patio”— an outdoor, four course cigar and wine dinner on Thursday, April 7 at 6:30 pm.
