Artisanal LA is Back: The ultimate gourmet food and arts show is making the move from downtown to Santa Monica at the weekend-long Spring Show Saturday, April 16 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 17 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Artisanal LA taking over a 50k square foot vacant department store located above Bloomingdale’s off the new Dining Deck at Santa Monica Place! The Spring Show includes more than a hundred local, artisanal and handmade food vendors to shop, celeb chef demos, expert led panels and speakers on local honey, craft beer, caviar and more, free hands-on workshops and cool handmade activities, hosted beverages from Honest Tea, Dry Soda and Function,Local/BioDynamic Wine Tasting and more. $10 Pre-Sale Tickets Online$15 at the door. Mischief in Mr. McGregor’s Garden: The day’s activities for children ages 10 and younger include art and gardening activities, botanic demonstrations, entertainment, games, face painting, photo opportunities, and live animals from the Beatrix Potter stories.  Event entry fees are $5.00 per child for members and $10.00 per child for non-members. Spring Time at Leonis Adobe: It’s fun for all ages at an historic site. See baby farm animals up close; participate in an egg hunt at 2 p.m., as well as other crafts and games.Watch tortilla making, blacksmith demonstrations, wool spinning and weaving; plus live music by Craig Newton. Downtown Burbank ARTS Festival: The four-block show features more than 100 outstanding artists, as well as the next generation of talent from Burbank schools. Included will be paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, fine glass, woodwork, mixed-media and photography. Live entertainment, street painting, art demonstrations (including an 8-foot sandcastle) and free workshops will add to the fun Admission is free; food and other purchases cost extra.  Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. San Fernando Boulevard between Magnolia Boulevard and Olive Avenue in Burbank.

Santa Monica Mountains Science Festival: Discover the mysteries of nature in this national park site. For inquiring minds of all ages. Watch owls fly at night. Identify a wildflower. Chumash Day Powwow and Inter Tribal Gathering: It’s fun, different and cultural. Taste native food, see Native American arts and crafts, music, dancing and entertainment, children’s activities, storytelling and more. Chatsworth’s Annual Day of the Horse Celebration: Come out and learn more about Chatsworth equestrian heritage. Stick horse races, various demonstrations and exhibits. TUESDAY: Spring Break Campfire Night: Bring family and friends and be ready for songs, marshmallows and an interpretive program by park naturalists. Dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes as there is a short uphill trail walk to the campfire amphitheater. The program will be about 1 1/2 hours long.
