Roni B Mother’s Day  Weekend Jewelry Trunk Show and Fundraiser: MDF Fave Roni B for the Fashionista is having a double event all weekend long from 11 a.m to 7 p.m Friday to Sunday. Starting off with Happy Hour Friday, Lisa Shapiro will be showing her Blue Candy jewelry line made of sterling, gold and semi-precious gems. There will also be wine, refreshments and a raffle ticket for a jewelry piece. 20% of the proceeds will go to the Kristi Kaplon Fund. Kristi, who has a toddler and is pregnant with twins, recently lost her husband tragically. Tough Cookies is joining Roni B. and offering 20 %of all sales to go to the Kaplon fund. 2011 Fiesta Charity Spectacular and Horse Show: This annual event raises funds for the USC Norris Comprehension Cancer Center and for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The show provides an array of entertainment including horse competitions, music, food, vendors, a silent auction, raffles and much more. The main event, the “Spectacular” show, is on Saturday at 6 p.m. Through Sunday, 3 p.m., Los Angeles Equestrian Center, 480 Riverside Dr. Burbank, (818) 842-8444, $25 for adult general admission, $20 for children (6-12) and seniors (65+), Free for children 5 and under.

Sesame Street Live Weekend at the Los Angeles Zoo: Meet Cookie Monster and Grover and bring your camera to take a picture with them between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Free to zoo members; Included in the price of admission for non-members.

National Train Day: This is the “must go” train event of the year celebrating 40 years of Amtrak history. See model trains, train equipment displays, special exhibits and other exciting attractions.
