FEDERAL BAR FOOD TRUCK FEST: Get fed at The Federal Bar with ten  food trucks from noon to  4 p.m. on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Serving it up in the lot: Chicago Meats LA, Dim Sum Truck, Grindhaus, Lardon, Lomo Arigato, Mandoline Grill, Mighty Boba, Munchie Machine, Papa’s Tapas, Tango Mango and the Phydough Truck for your furry friends.The Federal Bar will be open so feel free to bring your food inside and get a tasty cocktail with your meal! DUBLAB DJs will be spinning  tunes.

REMEMBER HEAD OF THE CLASS?: Dan Frischman (“Arvid” from Head of the Class and “Chris” from Kenan & Kel) performs his cabaret show this Sunday at “Upstairs at Vitello’s” in Studio City.  It’ll be a blast with singing, dancing, comedy, magic, and live big band and swing music.  No plate spinning, but otherwise, Dan’s got it all covered.  Dinner seating 5:30 p.m.- 6 p.m., Showtime 7 p.m.  Admission: $31 (includes entertainment cover, performance and $13 drink/food minimum. FIRE SERVICE DAY: The second Saturday of May is designated as Fire Service Day at Los Angeles County Fire Departments. Many are opening their doors for the occasion. Check out the department near you. Downtown Burbank is having an early morning Pancake Breakfast presented by the Burbank Community YMCA from 7 a.m-10 a.m. inside Fire Station 11. Following the meal, Santoro’s Sub Sandwich will serve a “firefighters special” lunch from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Studio City will have a special Pancake Breakfast.

BARN DANCE & BBQ DINNER AT LEONIS ADOBE: Grab your boots and come on down to Leonis Adobe Museum in Old Town Calabasas for a “Barn Dance & BBQ Dinner” on Saturday, May 14th. The fun begins at sundown, 6:30 p.m., with line dancing by Candy Sherwin and music with the “Hightoppers”. If you don’t know how to dance, Candy will teach you the steps. Bring your appetite for a delicious BBQ dinner from Stonefire Grill. Sagebrush Cantina will set up a No Host Bar. And, get ready to bid on the many silent and live auction items, like the AmaWaterways’ seven-night cruise on the Rhine between Amsterdam and Zurich. The fun ends around ten. HERITAGE DAYS/CIVIL WAR REENACTMENT: The Civil War springs to life with hundreds of re-enactors that will recreate the epic conflict of the American Civil War on the broad fields of Pierce College. Throughout each day, demonstrations and presentations will take place, including Victorian dancing, military drill, and skills and crafts from the era. Historical notables from the past will address all of those present, and President Lincoln will give his famous Gettysburg Address as part of a grand “Living History” program. Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Pierce College, 20800 Victory Blvd. (at the corner of De Soto Avenue) Woodland Hills. Adults: $12, Children: 4-15 $8, Children under 4 are free.

TROUBADOUR THEATRE COMPANY’S FUNKY PUNKS CIRCUS SPECTACULAR: The zany Troubadours are at it again.It’s a high-energy, interactive, circus art, clown extravaganza – for kids and adults of all ages! Be amazed by puppetry, stilt-walkers, jugglers, dancers, trampoline tricksters, super slippery table sliders, the human body and even a plunger! Saturdays and Sundays through June 5. BIG SUNDAY: It’s the largest community service regional event in the nation this Saturday and Sunday. There are over 500 different projects from Solvang to San Diego to join for an hour, two or a full day, with most in Los Angeles County. Over 50, 000 people are expected participate. CONGRESSMAN SHERMAN TOWN HALL MEETING: Listen and get questions answered on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the new Valley Performing Arts Center at Cal State Northridge, which is located at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge. The Congressman will discuss the economy, taxes, the budget, education, Social Security and Medicare, as well as other issues facing Congress. Most of the meeting will be devoted to Congressman Sherman listening and responding to questions from Valley residents. Sherman’s district office staff will be on hand to help constituents resolve any problems they may have with federal agencies, including the Social Security Administration and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The event, refreshments and parking are free. Free Town Hall parking is available in Lots B1 and B2, located on the corner of Nordhoff St. and Darby Ave.
