TONIGHT Brew in the Zoo: Twenty California craft beer breweries will be represented at this special evening on Friday from 6-9 p.m. The event will feature viewing of zoo animals with an added twist of “21 and up” fun.  Guests receive a 5-ounce collectible glass upon arrival and 12 sampler tickets with which to hoist it during the three-hour tasting experience.  Also, pub grub cuisine, upcoming bands by KROQ, and a chance to see the animals at night. Purchase tickets at lazoo.org/brew/. General public presale tickets are $40. Designated-driver tickets are $25 and do not include a tasting glass or beer tickets with admission. All guests must be 21 or older to attend the event.

TONIGHT An Evening on Ice : It’s a one-night-only fundraising showcase with a collection of top skaters: World Champion Kimmie Meissner, two-time U.S. National Champion Alissa Czisny, two-time U.S. National Champion and Olympian Jeremy Abbott, U.S. National Champion and many more. Party at SusiesCakes: SusieCakes, home of incredible cupcake, cakes and delicious frostings, is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a ’50s beach party on Saturday, August 13 from noon-3 p.m. There will be complimentary sweet samples and kid friendly activities. Get Fed Food Truck Festival: There’s another GET FED Food Truck Fest at The Federal Bar this Saturday, August 13—from noon – 4 p.m. Lots of food trucks will fill the back lot, including Grill ‘Em All, winners of “The Great Food Truck Race.” Grab a drink inside and listen to some spinning deejays.

Beauty and the Beast: This classic, modern love story musical is presented by the Academy for Children’s Theatre summer workshop and production.Saturday and Sunday, The Madrid Theatre 21622 Sherman Way Canoga Park. Check theater for times and reservations (818) 915-8527. $7-$17

Passenger Car Tours: Docent-lead tours through selected historic railroad passenger cars. Visit a real Dining Car, Pullman Sleeper or the famous club car, “The Little Nugget.” The actual cars open each week may vary depending upon weather, restoration work schedules, and volunteer docent availability. Saturday, 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.,Travel Town, 5200 Zoo Drive, Griffith Park (and the second Saturday of every month). It’s free!

Movies on the Green at Warner Center: Watch the cult hit “The Goonies” under the stars. Bring a picnic, blanket and chairs. Saturday, 7 p.m., Warner Center Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Woodland Hills.

Don’t Stop Believin’ : The ultimate Journey band is making the rounds. See them this Saturday at the Starlight Bowl.  Concert starts at 6:30 p.m.,Starlight Bowl,1249 Lockheed View Drive, Burbank.Adults $10; Children (3-12), Seniors (60+), Disabled: $6; Children 2 and under free.

Concerts on the Green: “Woodland Hillstock” featuring Canned Heat with Country Joe McDonald are performing on Sunday at 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.  Get your best hippie costume on and enter a contest at starting at 5:45 p.m. Bring a picnic, blanket and chairs.  Warner Center Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Woodland Hills. Calabasas Sun Sets Concert Series: It’s an outdoors concert featuring Elton: The Early Years. Singing along is welcome this Sunday, 6 p.m., Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center 23400 Park Sorrento, Calabasas. Free.
