Moonlight Movie on the Roof: The Studio City Improvement Association proudly presents Moonlight Movie on the Roof featuring Academy Award winner for “Best Picture” “THE KING’S SPEECH” (Rated R for language) on Saturday, August 20 at 7:30 p.m.  Studio City Parking Garage, 4th Floor 12225 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City (between Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Whitsett Ave). Bring your own chairs! Parking $5 per vehicle. (After 5 p.m.. no in and out privileges).  Free popcorn! Purchase your movie favorites at our on-site concession stand. Family Day at The Autry: Learn how children lived and played in the past. See what kinds of toys and games they had and make your own toy to play with at home. Also, don’t miss panning for gold, storytelling, and the monthly jam with musicians and cowboy poets as they perform stories and songs of the romantic days of the Old West, contemporary music of the American West, and songs of the open range and the American cowboy. Houdini at the Skirball: “Houdini: Art and Magic,” is an eye opening show which came from the Jewish Museum in New York that shows the real life of themagician and escape artist who has become a cultural icon.Also check out the companion exhibit, “Masters of Illusion: Jewish Magicians of the Golden Age” (1875-1948), created by Skirball curator Erin Clancey to learn about other Jewish magicians. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, through Sept. 4; Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 N.
