The Weekend Cocktail: Have a Little Hanky Panky Courtesy of The Savoy

It is really getting close to the last few weeks of summer and I thought it was time for a playful cocktail!

The Hanky Panky was invented by Ada Coleman, the first ever head bartender at the Savoy Hotel in London in honor of its anniversary! Fernet Branca is Italian liquor with thick, bitter flavor kind of like really bad medicine! It takes something of an acquired taste, but those who do like it often love it and it is really great in this cocktail. Available online at BevMo.

Everyone can have a little Hanky Panky before Labor Day! Cheers!

THE HANKY PANKY

3 ounces London dry gin

3 ounces sweet vermouth

5 dashes Fernet Branca

Stir ingredients with ice and strain into two chilled glasses. Garnish with an orange twist.
