MNO Burger

Umami Burger just announced their MNO Burger (Money’s No Obejct)—hand ground, dry aged, grass-fed Wagyu beef topped with Grade-A Hudson Valley foie gras, freshly shaved Italian white truffles, onion marmalade and ’77 vintage port reduction. The catch is that is not on the menu and is  available by special order only, but the bigger catch is that you need a party of at least 25 and the cost is $100 a burger. So, if you’ve hit the lottery or just want to be completely extravagant, call the Umami of your choice (Studio City is the only one in the 818) and speak to the manager to make your reservation.

Seasonal beer includes: Republic Later Harvest Ale, Buffalo Bills pumpkn brew, stone chocolate cherry stout.

Tony’s Darts Away in Burbank, the bottle free, low waste bar/restaurant serving vegan options and local craft beer and wine, is now open for Saturday brunch at 10 a.m, with breakfast items available until ‘supplies’ run out. Also new at Tony’s is a 14-seat patio, ideal for enjoying a beer-and-breakfast-burrito brunch outdoors (and really, what’s better than that?). The patio will also feature heaters once the weather turns cold. And don’t forget, you can brings the kids for pool and board games.

Roy’s Restaurant in Woodland Hills is now offering My Prix Fixe Mondays. Every Monday, for a limited time, guests have the option to choose any three courses off the menu at the fixed price of $35.95 per person. Any appetizer, entrée and dessert are available, such as Roy’s Original Hawaiian Blackened Island Ahi and Crunchy Golden Lobster Potstickers appetizers, entrées ranging from Hawaiian Kai Beef Short Ribs to Roasted Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi, and dessert delicacies from Pineapple Upside Down Cake to its famous Melting Hot Chocolate Soufflé.

If you’re in the food for a hot dog, grab the opportunity on Mondays at the The Infield in Sherman Oaks for $1 Dodger Dogs and at The Stand in Encino and Woodland Hills.

Closing news:  LA Creamery just closed the last of its three shops, in the Americana at Brand, and will be concentrating on their wholesale division. Previous locations were at Westfield Topanga and Sherman Oaks. Stephen Bikoff, Founder/ Chief Creative Officer, gave this comment on the closing: “All of us at L.A. Creamery are deeply flattered that our ice cream creations meant so much to our guests. The tremendous number of emails we received were all very sweet, and we look forward to bringing our fans their favorite ice cream flavors in the future.”
