LA Art Show

Celebrate the Chinese New Year in Beverly Hills: This event will feature Chinese performances including a drum corps and lion dance, store and restaurant specials and activities throughout the Golden Triangle. Lladró boutique will unveil two unique versions of a new limited edition piece, Auspicious Dragon. The first 1,000 people to check in at the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitors Bureau table located near the Lladró boutique will receive a Good Fortune envelope. Nata’s , located on the Studio City/Sherman Oaks border, is having a wine tasting event on Friday, January 20 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. for $22 per person. Included in the price are two Portuguese reds, one Spanish red, one Portuguese white and one portuguese Rosé — all 2008. Food served will be a variety of imported Portuguese and other premium cheeses, a variety of Portuguese grilled sausages, our cafe arinated olives, house artisan bread and dried fruits and nuts. CSUN Art Galleries — 15th Annual High School Art Invitational: This invitational showcases art work made by students from over forty San Fernando Valley high schools, including our NCJHS students, Benny Ferdman, Artistic Director, and Justine Bruner, AP Studio Art teacher.  The work employs a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, illustration and photography.
