Many of you have been emailing  about the status of Stanley’s, home of the best Chinese Chicken Salad in 818. Yes, there was a small fire in the kitchen last week, but as of yesterday evening (March 13), it has completely re-opened.

It’s Burrito Wednesday  Madness through March at Hugo’s Tacos. Get  half off your fave burritos 7-10 p.m. when you say the new secret word—Barkley.  Plus, it’s  Breakfast Burrito Madness from  10 a.m.- 11 a.m.  Only $3!

Ok, so it’s not exactly PC these days,  but if Foie Gras is your thing, Firenze Osteria is serving up a special five-course dinner  on March 29 at 7 p.m. for $75 per person.  Call for a reservation at 818-760-7081.

In celebration of their new full bar, Take A Bao in Studio City is offering Happy Hour food and drink specials Monday – Friday from 4-6 pm.   Wines $4, Beer $6,  Premium Well Cocktail $6 and House Cocktails $7.  Enjoy small bites, such as lemongrass caramel chicken wings, tofu popcorn and pork/leek potstickers for $2-$4; baos are $3-$4.

This Friday, March 16, The After School Special Food Truck will premiere at the NoHo Dine Out. The truck serves mom inspired  cuisine and was created to honor the memory of Elizabeth Campbell, mother of truck owner James Campbell, and the thousands of children that she taught throughout her career as an elementary school teacher in LosAngeles. NoHo DineOut Fridays is held every Friday,from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the parking lot at 11452 Burbank Blvd., in North Hollywood. Each Dine Out features gourmet food trucks and showcases local talent with musicians and gift vendors. A donation is made to local dog rescue groups from the proceeds.

The Daily Grill is having a “Curbside Celebration.”   Place a to-go order as curbside pick up through the end of March and receive a free reusable insulated bag.

Local winemaker Shawn Shai Halahmy of Shai Cellars and Chef Ian Jerde are uniting for a three course wine dinner hosted by Amelia Yokel at Fab’s in Sherman Oaks on March 21 at 6 p.m. The First Course presents 2009 Grenache paired with an arugula and fennel salad, garnished with oranges and duck confit. For the Second Course enjoy a 2008 Adome paired with Spicy leg of lamb, mushroom risotto and spaghetti squash. The Third Course presents a 2009 Adome paired with glazed chocolate short ribs, creamy polenta and a medley of seasonal vegetables. $65 per person $110 per couple. 818-995-2933.  Please call Tuesday through Sunday after 5 p.m. for reservations.

Thousands of restaurants across the country will participate in the UNICEF  Tap Project during World Water Week, March 19-25. Donating $1 for the tap water you would normally receive for free—is a great way to help UNICEF provide lifesaving water and sanitation to kids around the world.  Just $1 can protect a single child by providing them with safe water for 40 days. Woodland Hills Wine is having a big wine tasting this Friday, March 16 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. featuring Romain Collet of Domaine Collet Chablis and Alan Sobczak of APS Wine & Spirits. Taste a selection of 20 wines from France and Italy—they’ll be pouring Chablis, unique Tuscans, Barolos (new and old) and more.  $30 per person pre-paid.
