Loteria Grill is celebrating their 10th anniversary at all locations. Come by on Sunday, July 1 for an All-Day Special — $10 for  10 tacos. Starting July 2,  the restaurant is launching  ”The Summer of the Taco”  rotating two new tacos weekly. Pair it with a Tamarind margarita and you’re set.

Grilled Cheese and Cupcakes in Studio City just added a new cheesy dish to its menu on Mondays only — the Hot Dog Melt — it’s an all Hebrew National hot dog sliced and melted with swiss cheese, caramelized onions, chopped tomatoes and a hint of dijon mustard. A Taste of  the History of Restaurants and Food in the 818: This Thursday, June 28, from 6-8 p.m.at the Westfield Fashion Square in the upstairs dining area, Tommy Gelinas, founder and curator of Valley Relics, will be dishing up some delectable stories about many of the funky, quirky and traditional restaurants, past and current, of the San Fernando Valley over the last 50 or so years. This lecture is sponsored by The Museum of the San Fernando Valley and Westfield.

The Garden Café just soft opened last week at at 4531 Woodman  (between Ventura and Moorpark) in Sherman Oaks. Their official grand opening is set for July 6. Order at the counter at this casual eatery serving up breakfast until 11 a.m., salads, paninis, wraps, desserts and more. Sit inside or on the cute front patio filled with tables and lounge seating. In celebration of LGBT Pride Month, Raphael in Studio City will be offering a special Rainbow menu featuring a seven-course prix-fixe by Executive Chef Adam Horton through Sunday, July 1. The menu is a nod to the June festivities and will reflect the colors of the rainbow. The cost is $80 for two people. There will also be an exclusive Rainbow cocktail by barsmith Chris Parke ($9). Red: Heirloom Tomato, Kimchi, Chili Scented Palm Powder; Orange: Nantes Carrots, Crispy Coconut, Vadouvan; Yellow: Yellowtail Sashimi, Sesame, Meyer Lemon & Saffron; Green: Loup de mer, Pea Tendrils, Mint, Mussels, Kaffir Lime Nage; Blue: Kobe Style Beef, Crispy Blue Cheese, Onion Truffle Jam; Violet: Chocolate Mousse, Violet Gel, Beet Meringue, Sorbet. Spumante in North Hollywood is having a five course wine dinner on July  25 from 7 p.m.-9:45 p.m. Each course will be paired with wine from Beckmen Vineyards, Santa Ynez, CA. Owner-winemaker Steve Beckmen will be the special guest, joining international wine expert Peter Kerr for an evening of wine, food and great conversation.
