Harvest Moon Kitchen and Marketplace soft opened last week on Magnolia just east of Whitsett in Valley Village, but will be having its grand opening this Saturday, November 4 with lots of free samples. This is the first restaurant for Chris Drapkin who runs Harvest Moon Catering Company. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 7 a.m.- 7 p.m., Harvest Moon is a cool, clean fast casual eatery that serves farm to table seasonal dishes. Order at the counter and your food will be brought to you. Choose to dine al fresco on the sidewalk patio or inside the modern, airy dining room. Breakfast and lunch selections include egg dishes, pancakes, maple bacon, sandwiches, salads and soups. There’s also a plentiful selection of baked sweets in the counter case, plus Groundwork coffee and tea from the Art of Tea. Drapkin makes her own jams, syrups and baked goods. There will also be take home dinners available. A big plus…there’s free parking in the lot off Whitsett.
Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza and Grill in Studio City has finally received its full bar license and is now serving handcrafted cocktails. Come by for Happy Hour from 3 p.m.- 7 p.m. for half priced tapas, $2 off beer and wine by the glass, signature cocktails and well drinks. It’s available on the patio and bar area only.
