Sweet Butter Kitchen in Sherman Oaks is having its first book signing party on Wednesday, November 14 at 6:30 pm. with Sherman Oaks resident, oookbook author and James Beard award-winning radio host, Diane Rossen Worthington, who will sign her newest (and her 20th) cookbook, Seriously Simple Parties. Sweet Butter will be serving holiday entertaining food samples with recipes from Worthington’s book, along with their own Sweet Butter hors d’oeuvres (from their catering menu), and delicious samples of holiday desserts from their kitchen. In honor of National Vegan Month, Tony’s Darts Away in Burbank will host their first VEGAN CHILI COOK-OFF on Sunday, November 11 from noon – 6 p.m. Seven local chefs on fove teams will go head-to-head in a battle of epic (meat-and-dairy-free) proportions. Price: $10 (includes five 3oz tastes of Chili, and a voting ballot).
