The Weekend Cocktail: Celebrate with Thanksgiving-tinis!

One of my dear mixoligist friends actually makes a “Turkytini” by blending Thanksgiving leftovers and shaking it with vodka and garnishing with cranberry sauce! Kind of crazy to me so here is a cornucopia of my favorite seasonal martinis. Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you find gratitude in each moment. Cheers!

The Crantini or Cranberry Martini is a Cosmo without Triple Sec or lime juice.

2 oz. vodka or gin

1/2 to 1 oz. vermouth

1/2 oz. cranberry liquor or 2 oz. cranberry juice

Fresh, frozen, or dried cranberries for garnish

1. Pour first three ingredients in a cocktail shaker with 2 ice cubes. Shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass.

2. Garnish with 3 cranberries.

Pumpkin Pie Martini

1/2 oz. Stoli Vanilla

1 oz. Pumpkin Spice liqueur (such as Hiram Walker)

1/2 oz. Kailua

1/2 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps

1/2 oz. half and half

Crushed graham crackers

Cinnamon stick (garnish)

1. Add all liquids to shaker filled with ice.  Shake and strain into large martini glass rimmed with crushed graham crackers.

2. Garnish with cinnamon stick.

Martini Art’s Apple Pie Martini

3 oz Absolute Vanilla

1 oz. Brandy

1 teaspoon dry Vermouth

2 thin slivers of green apple

1 chunk of green apple

1.  Add liquid ingredients to shaker 3/4 filled with cracked ice.

2. Shake vigorously for a full minute.

3. Rub apple chunk around inside of 2 chilled martini glasses.

4. Strain your martini cocktail into glasses and top each with an apple sliver.
