Summer mail order gift idea! LA Creamery is now shipping their newest artisan flavors nationwide.  Adam Fleischman, the Founder/CEO of Umami Restaurant Group, partnered with this premium ice cream company co-owned by Stephen Bikoff and Brad Saltzman to create the latest round of frozen treats—Porc Phat made with Spanish Iberico lardo, Asian pears, hazelnuts and pure mint gel; Moonshine + Caramel Corn; Mezcal, made with Mezcal and orange liqueur and Gin + Juice.  The package, called Adam’s picks,  includes 6 pints and sells for $78  plus shipping (21 and older). Other online packages includes  Chocolate Lovers (6 pints sells for $48 plus shipping) which includes peanut butter chocolate, salted chocolate, milk chocolate crunch, chocolate hazelnut and chocolate ganache.  Another 6-pack include favorites such as salted caramel, honeycomb, brown butter pecan, pistachio, toasted coconut and Madagascar vanilla. All shipments are made to order and ship within typically two days from the time of the order.  To order a shipment, or if  you want to run and pick up a pint or two — or ten, check out the redesigned  new LA Creamery website .

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is toasting its 50th Birthday Celebration with Buy One Get One Free Birthday Cake, Mocha, and Rocky Road Ice Blended® beverage today through June 7 from 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. at participating stores across California and Arizona. Birthday Cake is its newest flavor which is highly reminiscent of pure vanilla, but with sprinkles on top.

Chef Ron Star will conduct a “Summer Feast” cooking demonstration at Olive Vineyard in Agoura on June 12 and 13 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. $10 per person. Watch and sample as he prepares Chopped Salad with Ramen Noodles tossed with Honey Ginger Balsamic & Japanese Sesame Oil; Mango & Papaya Salsa; and Savory Waffle with Blood Orange & Chili Oil topped with Coconut Shrimp.

The Melt just opened its 17th storefront in Burbank (313 N. San Fernando Boulevard). This fast-casual eatery’s motto is Grilled Cheese Happiness™. The menu includes varieties of grilled cheese sandwiches, fresh artisan soups and soft serve ice cream and milkshakes. There’s even an all day breakfast menu featuring “Egg-In-A-Hole” (with cheese, of course). The Melt serves Peet’s coffee too. Order through the website and your food will be ready upon arrival.

King’s Fish House in Calabasas is currently celebrating lobster season with its annual Lobster Festival, which runs through July 5th. The Lobster Festival includes specially priced lobster and clam dishes, including the following: Fried Clam Roll in a lobster roll bun with homemade sea salt potato chips ($12, New England Lobster Roll, served Classic or Connecticut style, with homemade sea salt potato chips ($23.75. Whole Live Lobster, from 1¼ lb. – 3 lb. lobsters. For dessert, try the Salted Caramel Ice Cream Sandwich made with homemade caramel ice cream and Aldea red sea salt.

Brats Brothers in Thousand Oaks and Sherman Oaks have just introduced their own brewed beer.  To celebrate, they’re offering  a classic Bavarian Pork Shank dish and All-You-Can-Drink Brats Brothers Beer on June 9 from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. (Alpine Honey Lager and Bavarian Red Only)* Reservations are highly recommended. $40 per person.  Make sure you call a cab or have a designated driver.
