Unfortunately, too many animals are homeless and end up getting killed at the shelters every day. Dogs, cats, rabbits…pure-breds and mutts…there’s just not enough people adopting. Please consider going to your local shelter and adopting a pet. If you can’t commit to an animal full time and would like to be a foster parent, please visit www.laanimalservices.org and click on volunteer, then foster care. For more pets in need of homes, please visit www.petfinder.com. If you’d like to foster for a rescue group, please email raweil@aol.com for information.

Here are some  four-legged finds in need of a loving home.  If  you are interested in one of these furry friends, please contact the shelter at the phone number listed below. These are just a few — there are many more waiting at the shelters.

Marshmellow

Marshmellow

Impound # 1061512, Bunny,  4 months, 3lbs My name is Marshmellow and I’m very petite and pretty! I love all bunnies and humans but want a home to call my own. I got dumped because there were too many animals at the house. Guess they didn’t have enough sense to spay & neuter. Now I’m abandoned and worry because people forget that bunnies need homes too. Won’t you love me forever? I’m quite and will be your friend for life.

Timmy

Timmy

Impound # 1059461, Gray & White Tabby Domestic Short Hair Kitten,
12 weeks, 2 ½ lbs
I’m Timmy and am very handsome if I say so myself, but am depressed because I got dumped in a box with 3 siblings. I love everyone I meet and really love to play with humans. I don’t want to be at the shelter anymore. Won’t you come adopt me? I want to be your forever friend.

POODLE

Poodle (no name)

Impound # 1068091, Toy Poodle Apricot,  14 weeks, 5 lbs I have no name yet (sniff sniff). I’m very pretty. I was found wandering around the streets in an area called “Scary Town.”  I’m mellow, LOVE people and other dogs. I’m scared at the shelter which is why I didn’t take a good picture. I promise to be very photogenic if you come adopt me. I’m so cute and just a ball of love. Please come get me out of here.

Rocky

Rocky

Impound # 1048754, Red Siberian Husky, 2 yrs, 65 lbs
I’m Rocky, a HANDSOME red Siberian Husky that was dumped at the shelter by my “guardian.” They kept me in the backyard instead of making me a part of the family so I kept escaping. I’m great with dogs and love everyone I meet. I sing too and am told I have a beautiful voice. Please come adopt me. I just want to be by your side and have someone to love.

Spunky

Impound # 1044800, Dachshund/Hound Mix 10 years young, 40 lbs. My name is Spunky and I’m a handsome yet overweight little guy. My family didn’t take care of me… just fed me and left me by myself all the time. Despite my lack of attention, I’m extremely playful and love love love to play with other dogs and people. I’ve been at the shelter too long and don’t know how much time I have left. Please come take me home. I will love you with all my heart!
