The Weekend Cocktail: Hot Apple Toddy

This is a warm and yummy autumn cocktail that reminds me of a piece of apple pie. The liqueur that I use is Tuaca, an amazing Italian liqueur made with citrus peels, winter spices and vanilla. You can find it online at and at selected BevMo stores. If you like Grand Marnier is a nice substitution. Omit all liqueurs if you want a non-alcoholic toasty treat. Enjoy any of these in front of a blazing fireplace for a sweet taste of fall.

Hot Apple Toddy

12 ounces apple cider (heated)

4 ounces Tuaca liqueur

Whipped cream

Pinch cinnamon and nutmeg

2 cinnamon sticks

In two glass coffee mugs, combine heated cider and Tuaca. Top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Add cinnamon stick.
