Students will learn popular dance styles seen on shows like “Dancing with the Stars,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” “America’s Best Dance Crew,” and more.  Special guest instructors include nationally renowned choreographers and TV dance stars including:  Julia Bantner (choreographer for “So You Think You Can Dance”),  Nanci Anderson (Austin Powers, Miss Congeniality 2 and Dreamgirls), Rodolfo Diaz Utra (featured on “America’s Best Dance Crew” and the Latin GRAMMYs) and Jennifer Galardi (fitness expert and dance video choreographer for the Pussycat Dolls).

“We are extremely excited about this program and know that the kids will love it,” said Rebekah Iliff, Founder and Executive Director of Boxers & Ballerinas, Inc.  “This will be a positive experience for all students as they learn from the best talent in L.A. and have the chance to showcase their hard work in front of parents, friends, and family.”

Iliff is a former professional dancer who performed with the Ballet Chicago Studio Company, the Boulder Ballet, and has taught master dance classes and workshops throughout the country. Her  business parther, Ricky Quiles, is a 18-year boxing veteran and former WBF Junior Welterweight, who began his professional career when he was just nineteen years old.

Classes begin on February 2  and will culminate at the end of March where students will be able to show their moves and strut their stuff in front of a live audience. The cost of the six week workshop and live, on-stage performance is $325. Registration is through January 25th, 2010 and a $100 deposit is required.  Space is limited to 30 students. Workshops are offered on Tuesdays 3:30-5pm or Thursdays 4:00-5:30pm.
