Operation Dress Up, an organization that usually collects gently used clothing for homeless students, is holding a clothing drive to benefit the children of Haiti on Saturday January 23rd at Yozen Frogurt located at 6450 Platt Avenue in West Hills (Platt Village Mall) from 1pm to 5pm.

Sisters Megan and Phoebe Stoeckel are collecting clothing donations for children in Haiti on Saturday in Woodland Hills.

“It’s hard to express how I felt when I heard about the devastating earthquake in Haiti. To be able to help – just a little bit – is very rewarding to me,” says 9th grader and Operation Dress Up! co-founder, Phoebe Stoeckel.

“Helping is simple,” adds co-founder and 11th grader Megan Stoeckel. “All you have to do is look through your wardrobe and pick out a few things that someone less fortunate can wear.”

All clothing collected will be delivered to Haiti Quake Relief/Los Angeles and is expected to be shipped to Haiti by early February.

Each person who donates a bag of children’s clothing will receive a coupon for a complimentary frozen yogurt, while supplies last.

For additional information on the clothing drive, or questions about donations, contact Julie Kertes at 818.970.6673 or visit www.operationdressup.org.
