THE BISTRO GARDEN CELEBRATES 20 YEARS IN THE 818 WITH A SPECIAL MENU AND MORE: The Bistro Garden, and husband and wife owners, Greg Pappas and Carolyn Niklas Pappas, are marking 20 years in Studio City by bringing back some its classic dishes at the original prices. The celebration begins on Friday, September with 20% of the proceeds going to the Concern Foundation. The special menu continues through October 3.

Some of the favorite offerings include: Chicken Hash ($12.95), Cannelloni Bistro with Veal, Sausage, Spinach and Garlic ( $14.95), Goujonettes of Sole with Pommes Frites and Vegetables ($15.25), Roasted Half Duckling Maxime ($16.95) Pot-Au-Feu made with Boiled Short Ribs, Chicken, Parsnips, Turnips and Bone Marrow ($16.95) and Veal Snitzle Holstein, Roasted Potatoes and Vegetables ($17.95). And of course, the dessert choices include the famous BG chocolate soufflé with fresh whipped cream.
More BG regular deals : Happy Hour happens Monday through Friday from 5-7pm at the bar area. All drinks are half off and appetizers (one cold and one hot) are FREE. On Monday evening, a dessert souffle is complementary with an entree. Tuesday is half off all bottles of wine. Three course prix fixe lunch ($25pp) and dinner ($42pp) runs Monday through Friday. ATTENTION JUNIOR JULIAS AND IRON CHEFS: Jennifer Evans Gardner is offering two six-week series starting September 28 for the elementary set, ages 6-12, at Little Feet in the Kitchen in Studio City. Taught in a home setting, Evans teaches cooking in way that it becomes a bridge to developing young palates. Students experience the joy of cooking while enriching math, science and art skills. Evans’ motto is “if they cook it, they will eat it!”
Julia Child-ren Tuesdays (2-5) – This series focuses on the recipes of Julia Child, including mousse au chocolat, quiche lorraine, soufflés and more! (Six-week series: $270)
Iron Chef Series Thursdays (3-5)– In this popular series, students are divided into teams to compete with a new secret ingredient each week. Parents become the judges at pickup! (6-week series: $240)
