The evenings are chilly and the aroma from fireplaces makes for some cozy warm nights! Here is a wonderful cocktail that is great for the whole family! It starts as a non-alcoholic drink, but those who want to can add Frangelico delicious hazelnut liquor! Enjoy the true taste of autumn. Cheers!
Warm Pear Cider
1-gallon apple cider
2 Bartlett pears, washed, cut into wedges
4 cinnamon sticks
3 inches fresh ginger, sliced into ½ pieces
Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
Place cider, pears, cinnamon sticks and ginger in a large pot. Bring to boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Invite guests to come to the stove and help themselves. Put out mugs, a shot glass and those who want to can add a shot of Frangelico to their mug.
