The Fox and Hounds rocks: The Bob Cowsill Band is back Saturday, December 11 at 9:30 pm. If you’re a fan of 60s and 70s tunes, you’ve got to check this band out.  Bob Cowsill and his family were the inspiration for the Partridge Family and were famous for many original songs, including Hair.  Now Bob is solo, and with his own four man band, rocks this pub with The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, The Monkees  and more.  Singing along and clapping encouraged.  Get a pint and some Fish n’ Chips. Noho Gallery Returns: Meet the artists at an opening reception for New Beginnings 2010 on Saturday, December 11 from 6-10pm.   “New Beginnings 2010” has special meaning to Curator Daniel DeBevoise  who had to close NoHo Gallery LA in 2009 due to medical costs associated with his treatment for cancer. He is cancer free now and personally experiencing his own new beginning. This show is a tribute to other artists in this show who have used their art to overcome personal tragedy & hardships to create their new beginning. “New Beginnings” will feature jazz guitarist Tim Moran and female vocalist Scottie Austin who perform jazz hits from the 20s to 50s, the Golden Age of Jazz. 11020 Magnolia Blvd., NoHo Arts District.

Donate food, toys and clothes at the Studio City Farmers Market: This Sunday, December 12 from 8am-1pm, the Studio City Residents Association will be collecting new, unwrapped toys; gloves; scarves; and non-perishable food items for the annual LAPD Holiday Toy and Food Drive.  The officers wrap and distribute collected items to children and families in need across the North Hollywood Division.  Last year the items contributed and collected by the SCRA on behalf  of the community were able to put holiday smiles on dozens of children.  Bring items for collection to the market manager’s booth.  For more information, email or call 818-509-0230.
