Nestled between expensive boutiques, an Italian eatery and a French bakery in Studio City, lies a treasure that is often overlooked. Veronica M is an intimate, women’s fashion boutique that is filled with a plethora of maxi and mini dresses, flowy tops (perfect for “trouble spots”), an enormous selection of handbags, plus fun and funky jewelry, which is versatile for everyday wear.

Veronica M has sales approximately three to four times year, with items marked down to as much as 50% off and dresses and tops for $20. They are currently having a super sale until the end of February.

Veronica M stocks original designs where the highest priced regular item is $106, and the average is about $70.

The effortlessly chic concept of Veronica M was started by Veronica herself. Born in Lima, Peru, she always envisioned designing clothes that are affordable, feminine and sexy. Her simple approach has led to five  stores — from Pasadena to Santa Monica. The versatility of her designs can take you from everyday basics, such as running errands or to the gym to a date night or a girls night out.

The handbags ($49-$56 ) complement each outfit, as there’s a wide array of styles and colors. The maxi dress ($84-$90), Veronica M’s signature style, flatters every body shape. Coming in racer back, off the shoulder, tube top, v-neck and halter, the maxi dresses come in every style, for every person’s preference. You’re sure to find a dress that fits your personal style and enhances your natural shape. Some patterns are simple, with single block colors and some exude her Peruvian background with bright floral prints and geometric shapes.

The original designs consist of solids to patterns.

There is an eclectic collection of accessories and jewelry to coordinate with the clothing—chunky necklaces (which is definitely the “it” piece of the moment) long, dangly earrings, turquoise and ethnic inspired pieces, as well plain silver hoops and bangles, shoes and belts.

Fashion jewelry is in abundance at Veronica M and at excellent prices.

As the sale items fly out, new merchandise is also hitting the stores over the next two weeks. Expect bright, spring inspired tops and dresses in patterns and colors that are sure to cure any bad mood.

If the price is right, dive right in. Veronica M is affordable and California chic. It’s impossible to leave empty handed so make sure you proceed with an open heart and an open wallet.
