Flapper’s Two Milk Minimum Comedy & Magic : Check out Flapper’s, the 818’s newest comedy club in Burbank. It’s sure to be a ton of laughs this Saturday, April 9 when comedian Raul Fernandez brings his multi-talented act of magic, juggling and music that is perfect for the entire family. Wizard of Oz Sing-Along: Dress up as your favorite character (a flying monkey? a twister? anything goes!) and compete for prizes in a costume contest. Then sing along to the entire Wizard of Oz film and soundtrack. Meet and greet in person: actress Dorothy Barrett (Emerald City manicurist), Judy Garland impersonator Elaine Horn and Richard Stanley, onetime assistant to George Cukor, the famed director who worked briefly on the 1939 MGM musical. CicLAvia: It’s part of four “open-street” Sunday events for all ages. Check it out this Sunday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in which 7 1/2 miles of streets are blocked to car traffic, making them safe to walk, skate, play and ride a bike. There are activities as well as open shops and restaurants along the route. The route stretches from Hollenbeck Park in Boyle Heights, through Little Tokyo, downtown, Westlake and MacArthur Park, Koreatown and into East Hollywood at the Bicycle District. $7 for parking, if you drive to the location.

9th Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run: Walk or run on Sunday, April 10, to raise money for Northridge Hospital’s Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS). Proceeds from this event will benefit CATS, the only 24/7 sexual abuse and assault response center serving children and adults in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys. Film Series: Watch The Magnificent Seven (starring Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and Eli Wallach): A group of Mexican peasants hires seven American gunfighters to help protect them from a gang of bandits. Jeffrey Richardson, associate curator, will lead a discussion of the film’s history prior to the screening. Saturday, 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m., the Autry, 4700 Western Heritage Way, Los Angeles.
