The pink caboose has landed on Lankershim and Magnolia.  There’s a new Phil’s Diner opening in Noho on Wednesday with new owners Casey and Malissa Hallenbeck.  The former Phil’s Diner (on Chandler Blvd.) which opened in 1920, closed more than a decade ago due to the Metro construction.  The new version has the caboose plus more space and and will feature diner fare with food ingredients sourced locally and organically and be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beer and wine will be available.

There’s a very exciting new scrumptious bottled ready-to-drink iced coffee in town. Wolfgang Puck has upped the ante on his bottled coffee and has introduced a new line that is cold brewed, certified organic and kosher with 2.5 grams of fat and only 120 calories a serving.  There are currently four flavors available— Café au Lait, Vanilla Fusion, Crème Caramel and Double Blend Mocha. They’re available at Gelsons, Whole Foods and a number of CVS stores.  Click here to find this fave drink.

In celebration of the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton, LA Creamery has transformed the official cocktail of the Royal Wedding created by Event Expert Colin Cowie of the royal wedding into a delicious sorbet. The Regal CV Sorbet is a delicious mix of Chambord Flavored Vodka, cucumber, fresh organic raspberries and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Those of us not fortunate to attend can enjoy this refreshing sorbet at L.A. Creamery or in your own home. L.A. Creamery will ship this sorbet anywhere in the U.S. for next day delivery at $18 per pint plus shipping. The Sorbet will be available through the wedding day Friday, April 29. Advanced orders may be placed by emailing regalcv@lacreamery.com. Only a small batch will be produced.
