Feather hair extensions are THE fashion trend of the summer and a relatively inexpensive way to temporarily give yourself a fun, flirty, bohemian look. Feathers are unisex fashion and work on all ages. They last one to four months and can be washed, brushed, blown dry, straightened and curled as long as the heat doesn’t extend past 450 degrees. Celebrities such as Jennifer Love Hewitt, Selena Gomez, Ke$ha, Hilary Duff and even Steven Tyler got the buzz going, but mere mortals can rock it too. And now is your chance to get feathers and a deal.

This Wednesday, May 25, Sabrina Feldman, is taking her Yellow Balloon Hair Salon crew (they style both adults and kids) to Gisele Tune Clothing where they are joining forces for a special Feathers and Fashion Party from 6 to 9 p.m. at Gisele’s boutique on the Coldwater Curve in Studio City. There will be refreshments and Gisele’s entire inventory will be 15% off.
The regular cost of feathers is $12 for one single feather, $20 for two, $28 for three, and $37 for four. A bundle of five to seven is $45. Mention MY DAILY FIND and get one free feather extension when you purchase two or more. If you are interested in adding tinsel to your hair, the special is six for $10 (usually $3 a strand). The great thing about feathers is that they are recyclable, so if you want them redone or replaced, just go to The Yellow Balloon anytime and they will replace them in your hair for $5.
There’s wide of array of colors from which to choose. “You can go bright and very festive or natural blend in with your own hair color, but it still looks great and has a peek a boo highlight effect,” says Feldman.
