The Encino/Tarzana Branch Library Pop-up Shop: Straight from downtown to the 818 on December 9 from 1:30-5:30 p.m. and Saturday December 10 from 10 a.m-5:30 p.m., the Library Store offers a carefully curated collection of fun and eclectic gifts and goods and is a unique place to do your holiday shopping for the book enthusiast of any age— autographed books, children’s gifts, book related items from stationery to tees and totes, and a great selection of Los Angeles-themed items. Gifts from the Library Store also give back to the local community as purchases support the Los Angeles Public Library. Metrolink Holiday Toy Express

Metrolink Holiday Toy Express: Welcome the 450-ton train from the platform. Enjoy free entertainment, hot chocolate and cookies. Bring new, unwrapped toys and sporting equipment for the ABC 7 Spark of Love Toy Drive in cooperation with the Burbank Fire Department. 2nd Annual Holiday Pop-Up Shop: Artisanal LA returns for one day only on Sunday, December 11th from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Old Town Pasadena’s Armory Center for the Arts featuring more of the city’s finest local, sustainable and handmade edibles. This year’s Holiday Shop features more than 50 vendors, including the Altadena Urban Farmers Market (currently on hiatus) and demos and workshops from Joseph Shuldiner’s Institute of Domestic Technology. Admission is $5 Partial proceeds will benefit the Armory Center for the Arts. 145 North Raymond, Pasadena.

Burn Yoga in Agoura Opens December 12: Located in the newly remodeled atrium of the Whizin Market Square in Agoura Hills,  Burn Yoga will have a variety of classes for all levels and ages. Each month, the studio will sponsor free community service workshops, such as women’s self defense and nutritional awareness.
