On the outskirts of Westfield Sherman Oaks Fashion Square on the parking lot side near Bloomingdales is Lollipop Dream — a combination of magical party venue, daily fun activity zone for children ages 2-8, and retail shop where imagination and creative play soar. Owner Sharon Lomax moved to this location a year ago after she outgrew her shop in a small strip mall at Woodman and Fulton. “I started off as a retail shop doing one party a month, but when one turned into 30 parties, I needed a much bigger space,” says Lomax, who explains she created the idea of Lollipop Dream when her daughter, now 8, was a toddler.
Lollipop Dream offers an enchanting variety of parties that can be held at the store or mobile at your home or another location. They are designed for kids ages 2-5. Lomax and her staff conduct consultations for each party for complete customization.
Happy Hour time happens daily with dress up, crafts and fun.
Choose from the Royal Princess Party, Crazy Hair Party, Fancy Zancy Tea Party, Gumdrop Party (weekdays only), Pirates and a Garden Fairies & Bug Hunters party. Parties run 90 minutes to two hours and include a character, evite access, face painting or make-up, dress-up, craft, games, food (usually pizza or tea sandwiches and a drink) and cake.
It’s also a one-stop-shop where you can put together party favors at the “goody bag” bar, set up a gift registry from the retail part of the store where guests can have gifts ready, wrapped and waiting for the party child. There’s an adorable selection of dress-up clothes, games, books, animals and even some very uptown diaper bags (for moms, of course!)

In addition to parties, Lollipop Dream is a place is to go in the morning and afternoon on week days for special events (check the website for times) — Play Dates (have a party type play date $20 a child for one hour of play, dress-up, face painting, a fun craft, snack, drink and games); Happy Hour (a walk-in event that’s two hours of dress up, face painting, arts and crafts, balloons and bubbles for $8); Storytime (a one hour event that includes face painting for $3). Older kids can stop by during the week an create their own glam lip gloss for $7.50. Lollipop Dream also hosts events on weekends such as Diva Day, Teas, Princess Brunch, Dessert with Daddy and more.

Imagination combined with smiles and laughter is the essence of Lollipop Dream. “The young childhood years are such a special time, I wanted to have a place for parents to create memories,” says Lomax.
