PizzaRev, a ”craft your own” pizza bar, officially opens its second location in Studio City this Friday, September 21, at 12103 Ventura Blvd just a couple doors down from The Counter Burger. The first PizzaRev opened last April in Northridge. Choose from over 30 toppings (think Chipotle or Subway order and display style) available in any combination for $7.95 (11″ pizza). The pizza is cooked in an open-flamed stone-hearth oven where temperatures can exceed 900 degrees, and is served in under three minutes. They will also offer “Premium Additions” that will focus on seasonal items. Dough is freshly made daily and there’s a gluten free option as well. Low carbing it? There’s a “craft your own” entrée salad using any ingredients from the crafting line (with an optional “Pizza in a Bowl” pizza-crust bed).
The Northridge location gained such quick popularity that co-owners Irv Zuckerman and Rodney Eckerman decided to open new locations. A third PizzaRev will open in Woodland Hills in November, with plans for many more to follow in 2013.
“By opening first in Northridge, we chose to fly under the radar a bit to perfect our model. Our guests in Northridge have appreciated our efforts and we are humbled by their kind comments and reviews making us one of the highest-rated pizza restaurants in all of LA,” said co-owner Zuckerman. “Studio City is a wonderfully vibrant part of Los Angeles, with a growing reputation as a dining destination, and we are thrilled to bring our unique pizza concept to this community,” added Eckerman.
