Spring Fling at the L.A. Zoo

Big Bunny’s Spring Fling

This annual event features a slew of fun activities—pet a fuzzy bunny, plant your own carrot, have your face painted, make a be-a-bunny craft, have your photo taken with Big Bunny (for a nominal fee) and enjoy children’s musical entertainment.  When/Where: March 29 -31,  10 a.m. – 4 p.m., LA Zoo, 5333 Zoo Drive, Griffith Park.

Underwood Family Farms 

Celebrate Easter on a farm in Moorpark. There will be an egg hunt, colorful egg dying, tractor-drawn wagon rides, and visits with the Easter Bunny (bring your own camera). In addition to the Easter events are the everyday features of the farm: see Penolope the pig, visit the highland cattle, or take a pony ride. Underwood provides free wagons to tote your little ones through the fields of pick-your-own produce.  When/Where: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 29- March, 31, 3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark.

Easter at the Pierce Farm

Spend Easter Weekend at the Pierce College with an array of activities perfect for the entire family. Activities include scavenger hunts, Easter crafts, egg painting, animal farm and pony rides.When/Where: Sat – Sun, March 30 and 31, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. $4.  20800 Victory Blvd., Woodland Hills.

Los Encinos Easter Egg Hunt

Egg Hunts for ages from toddlers to 10,plus traditional games, a blacksmith, and old-time music, tours of the historic adobe and performers in period costume. The Egg Hunts will be grouped as follows: 1:30 p.m.: 2 and under in the Corral, 2 p.m.: 3-4 years old 2:30 p.m., 5 years and up in the Orange Grove. Please bring your own baskets.When/Where: Los Encinos State Historic Park, 16756 Moorpark in Encino,on Saturday, March 30,  1- 3 p.m. Admission is free.

Egg Hunts and Scrambles

It’s an EGG-ceptional Celebration for kids of all ages at the Arboretum/ Egg Scramble and Egg-Expedition. Make and take activities, refreshments and prizes. $3 suggested donation.  Regular Arboretum admission fees apply.  When/Where: Saturday, March 30, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., 301 North Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia.

Egg-Stravaganza and Health and Safety Fair

This Spring event will feature a bounce house, cookie decorating, games and petting zoo. Learn about emergency preparedness and more.  Bring your own basket. Check the website for egg hunt times. When/Where:  March 30, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 22633 Vanowen St., West Hills.

Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Recreation Center

Theres an egg hunt, petting zoo and puppet show for little ones. When/Where: March 30, 10 a.m.-noon. 14201 Huston St., Sherman Oaks. Bring your own basket. 818-783-5121.

Egg-Stravaganza in Calabasas

It’s great Easter fun for the kids. Egg hunt (different times for respective ages) and petting zoo, candy, prizes, bunny hop games and crafts. When/Where: Sunday, March 31, 10 a.m. to noon., Grape Arbor Park, 5100 Parkville Rd., Calabasas. Admission is free; pictures with the Easter bunny, $5. Refreshments for sale.

Rusty’s Annual Egg Hunt

You and your four-legged best friend can celebrate Easter Sunday with an egg hunt made just for your furry friend — each egg has a great prize inside. Win pet food, toys, gift certificates and more. The Egg Hunt area is fenced in and only one pet at a time will be let in for safety reasons, unless from same home. All best friends must be on a leash at all times.  There’s a special secret guest arriving at 2:30 p.m. When/Where: Sunday, March 31. Noon – 4:30 p.m. 11672 Ventura Blvd. Studio City.
