Dear My Daily Find Subscribers,

Many of you have been with me for nearly four and a half years when I started My Daily Find, while others are new subscribers. I’ve reported on the news about the San Fernando Valley for over a decade. First, as a writer and editor for the Sun Community Newspapers, and when that closed, as the founder of My Daily Find. It evolved from a community news site to a niche site about where to ‘eat, shop and play’ in the 818 — with an emphasis on EAT! :)

I grew up in the Valley and it’s been very exciting watching its growth. I’ve loved reporting about new places and faces, meeting new people, and of course, making discoveries. I greatly appreciate all the input and support I’ve received from readers and businesses in the San Fernando Valley.

Now, after nearly 1000 newsletters and over 2500 stories, I’ve decided it’s time to sign off in order to explore new opportunities. It’s a very bittersweet end, but with endings come new beginnings.

Thank you to my many writers over the years who have volunteered their efforts. And a very special thank you to my resident chef, Gwen Kenneally, who has written weekly this entire time.

I’m still around, so please feel free to contact me karen@mydailyfind.com or my personal email, kjy2@aol.com.

Wishing everyone the best….and again, thanks for reading!

kynewpic110Take care,

Karen Young
