2nd Annual Heart of the City 5k

On Sunday, April 13, 2014, the 2nd Annual Heart of the City 5k, beginning at 8:00 a.m., will draw hundreds of walkers, runners, volunteers and dogs to the heart of Los Angeles to support an essential community resource: California Hospital Medical Center (CHMC). The event is expected to complete by 10:30 a.m.

 

The course will begin and end at the hospital at 1401 S. Grand Avenue in Los Angeles and will travel up and down Grand, 11th Street and Figueroa.

 

Registration fee for the event is $35 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under.  For more information visit http://heartofthecity.kintera.org.

 

Proceeds from the 2014 race will benefit the acquisition of a state-of-the-art 128-slice CT scanner and complete renovation of one of the floors in the hospital’s patient tower.
