October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Marcia Ray Breast Center at Dignity Health’s Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center will be hosting a Breast Cancer Symposium. This special event will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the main auditorium of the hospital.
The symposium will feature our panel of breast cancer specialist who will be presenting information on what is new in the field of breast cancer as well as be available to answer questions from the audience. The panel will also be demonstrating what goes on behind the scenes at a Surgical Tumor Board where specialist review cancer cases together as a group and determine the best course of treatment for a patient’s disease. Dinner will be provided and the event is FREE to the general public.
